Hey everyone, new to the community here!
Like a lot of people over the various lockdowns (well, at least the 3 we've had so far in the UK), I found myself wanting to seek a new project.
Now, I should explain myself a bit. I'm a UK based train driver, who has a bit of a passion for engineering and music. I did study a Media Production degree in Plymouth, and have done some basic tea boy work for a Citroen advert and a couple of music videos.
One feather in my cap is a nomination for a Royal Television Society Award in 2012! Go go gadget humble brag.
To cut a long story short I wrote a script over the course of a year, a feature. I've no experience at all in screenwriting at all, but would love to chat to some people about potential routes (if there are any for me!). I do have some other ideas in the bank as well, so not short of ideas!

Hi there, I've got a few questions that you should look at, helping you along the way - these could be totally wrong and you might have all of this down;
Did you use a Script Writing Program to write your Screenplay with?
Fade In, Final Draft, Studio Builder, Celtx, Movie Magic Screenwriter -
Which would help out with your Formatting?
How many Screenplays had you read so far - a good way to learn?
Look at Screenplays of the kind you just wrote, getting closer to what you have written.
Double check for Grammar and Spelling and then, see if you can find a Proofreader who have got some background in Screenplays.
Getting from here where your Screenplay is done and ready, it does take time and it only depend on You - if you'd like to Submit it to a Competition or looking for Representation.
Remember - you need to look at a Logline as well as a Synopsis for the Screenplay as well, especially when someone is looking to read more about your Project.

I use Studio Binder, though one thing I must say is that I find it rather irritating not having clearly defined pages but hey ho.
I must have read over about 10 or so now, including works that are in a similar genre to mine and those that are completely different.
I've got a couple of people to have a read through, although they share the interest in the subject matter so may not be quite so objective about it.
So, as I understand it, a logline is a brief and catchy sentence or two to capture the essence of the screenplay, is that right?
I'm only on the first draft, so I'm not entirely sure what I should be looking to adjust as this is at the moment a completely solo project, but am open to comments of course!

It's a process.
Still, very good!
The Log-Line is as you say,
It tries to capture the Interest of the reader and Convey as much as possible of the Story and idea in those two lines,
Maybe one.
The better it is Written the easier it'll be for the Interested party to read the As Important - Synopsis.
I've written shorter Scriots and sent them to people,
Getting their Feedback on my work,
You never know who can steal your idea.
So be very Careful.
But, if your serious as well,
Register the Scrpit - that is After it's been Edited or a Script Specialist worked through it.
Look on here for someone not charging too much and if you can read the Reviews on their work,
So much better.
Getting a honest second opinion is as Important as finding someone interested to Buy or Produce.
The question is this,
How far will you go with this piece and how much are you willing to Pay for a Script Consultant?
From their feedback and putting it down for a bit,
You can work on the Second draft,
Polishing the Script until you feel it's ready.
As I told you, it's a process...
Luckily, You've Finished one of the Hardest Parts,
You wrote your Screenplay!
Now comes the rest.
