Producing : The Next 6-Months by Martin Reese

The Next 6-Months

OK folks. July 1st marks the start of the last 6 months of the year (Time flies doesn't it?). What are your goals in the coming months to close out the year strong? I'll start 1) Pitch my supernatural detective series TV pilot to executives 2) Complete a new horror script 3) Turn original IP storybook into graphic novel 4) Develop animated TV series pilot.

Doug Nelson

To produce an Oscar winning live action short using an all young inexperienced Cast & crew of young folk who are interested in a career in the film industry as a way of getting their foot in the door. That's my grandiose ambition - we'll see how it goes.

John Radtke

Finish my pilot, pitch my rom-com,, start a new script, brainstorm, rinse and repeat

Chaun Lee

I don't need to win an Oscar. I hope to sincerely make this world a more inclusive one and help open the doors of Hollywood to everyone. There are some mean people out there that intimidate creatives. I truly want to help people born to create make their voices heard.

Doug Nelson

Chaun - that's what I'm all about; to help young creatives in any way I can. I aim way high and if I don't succeed, that's okay by me because just trying is success to me.

Chaun Lee

Doug Nelson that's refreshing to hear.

Martin Reese

Nice goals Doug Nelson , John Radtke and Chaun Lee.

Joanna Karselis

Great ambition, Doug. My upcoming goals are to release the EP I've been working on, finish a trailer music album, and complete the short I'm currently scoring.

Cherelynn Baker

I've found with the impending calendar count down that I have re-invigorated some projects that stalled.

Karen "Kay" Ross

I responded to RB's IG question of a similar nature, so here is what I said there:

"After participating in a very encouraging @stage32 Lab with Spencer Robinson, I realized I have been in a holding pattern with my creations. So, my 2nd-half-of-the-year goals orbit around creating a sharing pattern. By the end of the year, I want to have shared my coming-of-age pilot, my "compassion fatigue" pilot, my Pixar-esque short (and we just came up with another one), and my animated feature. They've all been started, but now it's time to include my team in the process. To starting the collaboration process by sharing! CHEERS!"

Martin Reese

Looking forward to seeing your work, Kay. Sounds great.

Cecile George

To shoot my short film and enter it into international competitions; to finish the rewrites on my feature script and start shopping it around; to revive another feature script that I shelved a while back.

Amanda Toney

My goals are to to get back pitching the TV pilot I'm producing and get into pre-production on Martin Reese s script DEATH'S EYE.

Martin Reese

Great goals, Amanda. Got a slight change in goals. Now I'm going make my original IP into a feature animation script.

Alicia Nunn

Pitch epic fantasy to executives, finish pre-production, start production.

Christian Nommay

What a great idea! In my case:

1) Pitch my animated series to executives.

2) Finish my animated series pilot script.

3) Crowdfund my next RPG book.

4) Adapt my IP into a graphic novel.

Suzanne Garnett

Those are some great goals! My next six months are focused mostly on building the finance package for my next feature and locking down funding.

Martin Reese

Hey Christian Nommay let us know how that animated series pitch goes.

Christian Nommay

Count on me, Martin Reese.
