Anything Goes : Arthouse films by Mauro de Martino

Mauro de Martino

Arthouse films

Dear Stage 32 members,

I would like to know who among all of you is interested in making arthouse, intellectual, poetic, philosophical films, or in experimenting.

It would be interesting to get in touch with those of you who have artistic ambitions that go beyond defined genres, to exchange views or possibly think about projects to be carried out.

Kiril Maksimoski

Hi Mauro...I see uwe worked for Makedox :) hope uwe had a chance to attend too...such an great open air festival.

I had some experimental projects in the past (Very Simple Story) by the script of Miha Mazzini, unfortunately nothing on the radar up yet...I'd like to experiment with Beckett's plays through, especially those most "weirdo' ones. His shortest one "Breath" has been a passion project years behind, but always in battle between having it on film or on stage...

Being a Renaissance Man at heart, I'm naturally drawn to Arthouse films (we used to call 'em Coffee House films during the bohemian/beat era).

When I say "arthouse cinema" I am referring to

Pasolini, Antonioni, Moretti, Bellocchio, Cassavetes, Truffaut, Kiarostami, Kurosawa, Vigo, Olmi, Kieslowski, Taviani brothers, Petri, Visconti etc ...

Is there anyone interested in this type of cinema?

Debbie Croysdale

@Mauro I’m a huge arthouse fan!

Debbie Croysdale

@Mauro I would help with writing/directing but don’t do technical work.
