I've been out of work for three years and a week ago a check for food bounced. I have a lot of stories and scripts but the number one thing they all want and I guess need is money. I thought it would be more like agent looking for good work. Anyway the main fail was with my script "Live For Today." It's about suicide and bullies with the underlying theme of hope. It's about what happened to me in high school. There is also a lot of humor. We tried to film it but lost footage. The logline: A broken promise takes a gifted athlete down a suicidal path of self-destruction. Will the persistence of his coach and the love a girl with her secret be enough to save him. All of this was in 1967. I'm including the trailer I made: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdeU7oW_06s
That's rough, man. Yeah, the industry runs on either monetary resources or human resources, I'm afraid.
Trailer looks good, though! Is this a film or a series?
I have the book and the script. The second is started and I call it Midnight in Mexico. You see I went to Mexico where I was married at midnight in a jail. A year later I had my daughter. A long story but funny and fun. We were married about 50 miles south of Reynosa in Estaction Ramariez. What a story.
I'd love to redo the movie and do it right. The kids were great but we lost footage and couldn't finish.
