It is important to stay healthy. I work out about two hours a day for four days and run 30 minutes a day. I'm 72 and if you need pointers let me know....and there is no charge. You can check my photo on the post
Wow, that is so inspiring! At my peak athleticism, I was doing about the same, but it was martial arts instead of a gym "workout". Any tips on how to build up to those two hours a day? Do you switch arms and legs, or just do the same routine?
It takes time. First day I do three exercises for the shoulders, triceps and biceps. My first set is 12, then 10 and 10. Find the weight comfortable for you and increase two to five pounds each set. the second day I do back, lats and chest. Same thing to pick a weight and do a set then increase the weight each time. If you can't do the third set of ten then drop a few pounds and do it again. Once you are able to do all the weights for a week or two then increase your beginning weight. I started at 68 with a 37" waist and 245 lbs. Now I have a 31 in waist and weigh 180. All of this on my own so anybody can do it. OH, and when I finish weights. I jog for 30 minutes.
