I always wanted to be a cartoonist when I was a kid. Loved writing funny stories, and even some creepy ones. At the age of 12 I was diagnosed with brain cancer. After surviving my thinking process and development seemed to change. With it I set a new goal to be a video game designer. Started at a Vo tech University- and failed after half a semester. Ended up going to Southern Nazarene University and graduated with a BA in Art/ Mass Comm. Wanted to work as a movie director but the process was too much to handle. I went back to writing. And even then my process was slow, and my manuscripts were unedited. Started after college working retail. Even fell for some scams to get my writing out. I was discovered on Twitter by #HorrorFamily, and I was being more recognized for my writing. Pushed beyond my limits. And it all came to a crash.
I decided not to run from my problems but confront them. I fix my writings and extended my social profile by sacrificing a webpage and staying away from scams. Now my work has been reviewed as ‘one of the scariest stories I’ve ever read’, and am an active member of Stage 32. Since I’ve started writing 4 years ago I’ve sold 159 titles by Independent work. Work that has been recognized around the world. All by someone who survived brain cancer. And 13 surgeries. And one month in a coma.
What’s an anomaly? Something that wasn’t supposed to happen.
