Hey everyone! I wanted to make sure you saw this acting workshop we're offering next week on how to use Instagram to boost your career
If you're like me you're a little in the dark when it comes to proper use of social media platforms like Instagram. I never know what's too much to post, what's too little, how I should be interacting, what good content is, etc. I ALSO know, though, that Instagram can be a HUGE boon to actors' careers and get them noticed by agents, casting directors, producers, etc when otherwise they wouldn't.
That's why I'm really excited that actress/writer/influencer Rachel Paulson (also Sarah Paulson's sister...) is leading this extended class and workshop this coming Tuesday. We're offering it for $20 off right now. You can check it out here. https://www.stage32.com/classes/Stage-32-Acting-Workshop-How-to-Use-Soci...
And in the meantime, do you all use Instagram? Has it helped you find work or get connected with people? I'd love to hear your stories!

This is SO MAJOR! IG has definitely had some interesting outlets for actors, but I'd be interested to see what she recommends versus what is a waste of time. Thanks for the info, Harrison Glaser!

I've been on Instagram as an artist for five years, last year I added two more IG accounts, one for my first novel and one for my "author / screenwriter" identity, where I recently posted a remix of the entire pitch deck for a script of mine that's in development; it's a way for me to have the visuals of that project in my pocket and ready to raise some interest, I love Instagram and although my posts are not especially planned or systematic it is an ongoing creative photo-essay and gradually developing a number of connections there!

If I had the money, I would consider it! My Instagram game is weak! :D

Daniel Stuelpnagel , that's amazing! I'm so glad you've found a way to make IG work for you. I haven't seen anyone put their entire pitch document on Instagram before but that's a really interesting idea. I'm glad it's helping you build your network

And I'm right there with you @Jameson. Let's just say we are VERY lucky that Rachel is teaching this class and not me. I have a LOT to learn from her as well.
Didn't at all...still with the same casting agency I enrolled back in 2004-5, they reach out whenever there is a role for an acting or an extra...sometimes I spot an audition, I apply and that's it...
Besides, I'm quite weak at making a clown outta myself...
