Hello everyone, people of Stage 32!
I'm Walter and I live in Italy.
Since I was a child I've always been fond of cinema, developing a strong interest in horror and animation.
In the course of my life I have undertaken many paths of study, in Film Directing, Screenwriting, Editing and 3D Animation.
I recently graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples in Film Directing.
Making cinema in Italy is very difficult, and for horror and animation there are absolutely no viable roads.
I am very interested in setting up a strong network of contacts in order to develop ideas and projects.
Let's join together and create our own way in the world of Cinema!
Cheers!

Hi, Walter Rastelli. Pleasure to meet you. You've studied a lot (film directing, screenwriting, editing, and 3D Animation). What are you working on?

Yes, indeed! :D I've been trying to acquire as much knowledge as possible, to try to have a better awareness of the film medium. I'm currently finishing a short animation I started during the lockdown with several independent artists from around the world (the power of the internet!) and I'm finishing a short animation sequence of a medium-length film I made this April for my thesis.
These are all self-published independent projects, but I put my passion into them!
I'm leaving a link to a teaser of the short animated film here, if you'd like to take a look ;)

I'll check out your teaser and give some feedback. Animation is a smart move because it can be done from separate locations.

I like the teaser, Walter Rastelli. I like the animation style and how you were able to tell a story without dialogue.

Great to meet you, Walter Rastelli, and welcome to the community! Oh, wow - what a great trailer! You should definitely reach out with a post in the Animation Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/animation). You'll meet lots of like-minded creatives there!
Keep in mind that these lounges are like the VIP Filmmaker's Lounges at Film Festivals, so this is where you can meet the people doing the work, get advice on anything you're working on, and/or give back to those who may need advice. We're a very supportive and encouraging community! I think you'd also enjoy my blog post on how to get the most out of the Stage32 Community:
