TV Writers / Showrunners, what are your thoughts on this? Are writer's going to lose value? or is this a shift we all need to get on board with, and thus the value we gain will change?
“The rise of the mini room where writers gather to write scripts but then move on is going to keep some people in a corner if you’re starting out on the early side of your career,” says Hrishi Desai, partner and co-head of literary department for ICM Partners. “The opportunity to produce episodes and learn the craft on set is indispensable.”

Reading tweets from tv writers with blue checkmarks on the bird app, the overall tv landscape is bad. 2-year labor dispute with agencies, followed by a pandemic piled on top.
Yes, there are more tv productions but salaries havent increased, episodes per show have decreased, and more tv writers have to repeat as staff than bumped up to Story editors/producers. Not enough episodes to go around to get on-set experience, or an episode writing credit. Plus, all the major streamers have their own secret algorithm pay scale.
Yet reading those who have not blue checkmarks and actually do the labor, see complaints that even medical insurance can't be covered up with the incomes...pretty poor reality for all them daydreamers awaiting on the gates...
