Hello Everyone! Catching Introduce Yourself weekend a little late, but here goes!
I'm a screenwriter originally from the Southeast, now living in Brooklyn, New York. I've always had a keen interest in writing, spanning all genres from drama to fantasy and sci-fi. I write character driven stories, as I'm fascinated by the complex, intricate lives of everyone around me. My most important goal is to make any reader or audience feel seen, heard, and understood in the experiences of their own lives.
My main project currently is The Mountains Are Calling, a family drama about a recovering heroin addict who is reunited with the daughter he had secretly given up for adoption 18 years earlier when her mother died of an overdose. The story is set in the Blue Ridge Mountains, a place dear to my heart, and explores generational trauma, the opioid crisis, and how the sins of our family shape who we are.
I'm also working on two pilots - The Conquerors, a fantasy medieval show about three siblings that asks the question "can you ethically pursue unadulterated power," and Resurrection, a sci-fi show about a group of people who can resurrect whenever they die.

I love historical comedies.
I'm currently working on a project where a Historical Author is now branching out into True Crime and is interviewing a serial killer, for her first book.
