More Reader than Writer. I have written multiple scripts: all shapes sizes and colors. I have honed in on Low Fantasy. Learning the business side of things. It's a fun and interesting ride!
Great to meet you, and welcome to the community! I feel ya, Sylvia Krawczyk - sometimes "reader" is just more readily available. I have to ask, though - what constitutes "low fantasy"?
What all on the business side are you interested in learning? As a VO artist or as a screenwriter?
Hello Kay. Glad to meet you too. While High Fantasy is Epic and takes place in a completely different world with magical elements (like "Lord of the Rings"), Low Fantasy is based in a regular/normal world that has magic elements involved. It can even be a mix of both worlds that interrelate. Examples are: Harry Potter, Big, 13 Going on 30, Freaky Friday, etc.
The business part I am learning is: honing in on my writing area; proper pitches; letters; how to find network opportunities, etc. I am enjoying "Good in a Room" by Stephanie Palmer-Taxy. I highly recommend her book and anything she writes and shares.
What projects are you working on? How are you handling this pandemic?
