Introduce Yourself : Multilingual actor by Ivan Doan

Multilingual actor

Chao,

I'm Ivan, a multilingual actor based in Berlin. I'm half Ukrainian and half Vietnamese, classically trained and practice martial arts.

Karen "Kay" Ross

Great to meet you, Ivan Doan, and welcome to the community! Although it looks like you've been here a while - so, welcome back? How are things in Germany? Is production starting back up in earnest?

OMG, I LOVE your reel! It's like a short film, interview, and reel in one! LOL! Actually, I would LOVE for you to post in the Acting Lounge about how you came up with this idea and how you executed it! https://www.stage32.com/lounge/acting

Keep in mind that these lounges are like the VIP Filmmaker's Lounges at Film Festivals, so this is where you can meet the people doing the work, get advice on anything you're working on, and/or give back to those who may need advice. We're a very supportive and encouraging community! I think you'd also enjoy my blog post on how to get the most out of the Stage32 Community:

Welcome!

Matthew Cornwell

Hey Ivan! Welcome! Your video reminds me of a trend we had in Atlanta circa 2010 called "Actor Slates". They were general introductions exactly like this. Cleverly edited and around 90 seconds in length. My wife and I did a bunch for actors over the course of a year, and then in an instant the Casting Directors didn't want them anymore. Not sure why, because I think this is a great way for me to get to know you!

Welcome, Ivan!

Ivan Doan

Matthew Cornwell Thanks. Well trends come and go...

Ivan Doan

Karen "Kay" Ross Thanks, Karen

Karen "Kay" Ross I have had this account for some years but can't call myself a very acting member unfortunately :-) But hope I'll get better. Answering your question, well, you know Germans are good at creating functional solutions when it comes to organization, so yes, many projects are being produced. From my own experience, testing and hygiene control are generally good. Thanks for your nice words. I will post the video in the Acting Lounge with comments on its production.

Welcome to Stage 32 and good luck with the acting!
