Not only is it doing well in North America, but apparently it is the first film directed by a Black woman to open at number one in North America! The fact that there is still history to be made says to me that there is still work to do for diversity and inclusion in this industry. What do you think?

Karen "Kay" Ross We saw 'Candyman' in theatres 2 weeks ago. I saw original Candyman that came out in early 90's. We were deeply disappointed with the new one. IMHO. I'll leave it at that.

I agree with Pritesh. Pictures shouldn't be judged by the color or ethnicity of the filmmakers. But the name of the filmmakers. And Cinema was best from the 1930s-1990s.
