Hey everyone, my name is William Crawford, and I barely use this platform aside from the Pitch Sessions portion of this website's Script Services. So far, I have made four pitches, two of which haven't been delivered yet and the other two are in the review process. I am a college student majoring in creative writing, and I've come up with many ideas for fictional stories in my spare time over the years, none of which have been published yet (but I'm working on the final draft for a short story I'm writing for a contest at the moment, but that's another story). I've been looking to see what kind of writing-based job I could have when I graduate. I would like to write fiction, but there's a possibility that my fiction may not sell well on the first try, so I'd like to have a stable job like technical writing while doing fiction on the side. Does anyone have any tips on what kind of writing-based job would work best for me? Let me know what you think in the comments below. Thank you.
- William C.
I forgot to mention that before the four pending pitches I've made, I've made three pitches on Stage 32 in the past, all of which have been rejected, but I was able to use the feedback for self-improvement regarding my writing. Not only that, but my later pitches showed improvement in what I was writing.
