Cbff breaking news

We are very happy to announce that Carmarthen Bay Film Festival is now a BAFTA BRITISH SHORT FILM qualifying festival.

This is exciting news and a wonderful reward for our founder Kelvin and all the CBFF team’s hard work and commitment to supporting independent filmmakers and grassroots film-making here in Wales and around the world over the past 10 years.

All eligible films must be screened at two BAFTA ‘B’ List festivals and one BAFTA ‘A’ List festival to meet BAFTA’s qualification criteria.

This now means that, along with being a regular Top 100 FilmFreeway festival, an IMDb and BAFTA Cymru qualifying festival, Carmarthen Bay Film Festival CBFF - Gŵyl Ffilm Bae Caerfyrddin , Wales' Premier Film Festival, is now also your stepping stone to the BAFTA BRITISH SHORT FILM Awards 2023.

So calling all filmmakers; come be a part of #CBFF2022 and submit your film here via our #FilmFreeway page.

Carmarthen Bay Film Festival CBFF2022 will be live and in-person from 16th - 19th May 2022 at the Ffwrnes Theatre, #Llanelli, #Carmarthenshire, #Wales and also online on the Sparqfest Film Festival Platform.

Wonderful & congratulations. Are there any forums at the festival purely for new scripts? Thanks so much.
