Casting 3 key roles in Proof-of-Concept supernatural thriller short When Will I See You Again?

Haunted by visions she’s still alive, a boy recruits a reluctant ex-con uncle and a heartbroken woman they meet on the road in an obsessive quest to find his long-missing sister.

When Will I See You Again? taps into a universal desire to reconnect with loved ones we’ve lost, and speaks to the outrage we all feel over every cold case that goes unsolved.

Filming in Pittsburgh, PA mid November. Primarily looking for actors reasonably close to Pittsburgh.

Phoebe: Female, 30s (though I’m open-minded to anyone between 25 and 45). All skin colors will be equally considered. Intelligent, well educated. She works in nursing. Trusting, fragile, vulnerable, sweet, her heart has just been broken. A little boy charms her at a scenic Pittsburgh location and tells her a farfetched story. He’s lying, for a good cause, but she believes him because she needs to cling to this new hope. I picture Phoebe as at least 5’6”, with long dark hair and willowy physique, but again, always willing to keep an open mind. Helps to be able to carry a tune, or at least whistle.

Eli: Boy, 12 years old (anyone between 10 and 14 will be considered) Caucasian. Eli is a force of nature. A mini Terminator. The whole world is against him. He alone believes his sister who was abducted seven years ago is still alive, and disturbing dreams and visions are pointing him in the direction of where she is. He has little patience with the niceties of polite society. He is on a mission and all obstacles must be overcome, even if it means telling a fib. Eli is a little wise guy and razor sharp, very verbal, but this tough kid exterior masks an inner sensitivity. After all, he is just a kid and he really misses his sister.

Man in Cowboy Hat. Between 40 and 60. All skin colors will be considered. A man of few words whose physical presence is sly, insidious. Grizzled, unshaven. His eyes insinuate many things. Hard to pin him down. He’s definitely shady, but not completely beyond redemption. Must be comfortable with smoking, or pretending to smoke.

This will be entered into film festival with an eye towards expanding into feature length. These are non-union paid positions. Please reply with interest or any questions to epchapman1986@gmail.com. Thanks.

NICE work! May I please share 2 suggestions!

1. Please create these characters on the JOB board, specifically in the casting/actors category

2. Would you consider posting your LOGLINE for this on your profile? It helps the community help you!
