Affordable laptop that runs Final Draft

Hello, I am looking for a new but relatively cheap laptop that supports Final Draft. Ideally it would also have an HDMI port, but USB-c would work too if necessary. I wish FD worked on ChromeBooks, alas, no go. Any recommendations?

Yes! I got the ACER Aspire 3 (with HDMI, Ethernet and USB ports) from MicroCenter for $350 ("open box" model that was returned unused and inspected) on sale down from $500 early this year, I love it, running Final Draft 11 and Zoom and Google drive etc., definitely recommend checking out MicroCenter for this or other deals!

Most Windows 10 laptops should be able to run Final Draft 12 - especially now Final Draft have fixed the bugs in FD12 (it was horrible on first release!).

I've got a quite ancient (by today's standards!) Lenovo Z510 laptop (i7-4510u, 8GB RAM) running FD12 just fine, although I did stick an SSD in it, and pulled out the obsolete DVD drive to put the original hard drive in there instead. I'm a tinkerer!

I'd recommend a laptop with an SSD/NVME drive and at least 8GB RAM just for a less frustrating experience in Windows, myself. You can usually find something that fits the bill for under £200 here (not sure what they might cost elsewhere, though).

Just want to throw this in the mix. There is a Final Draft app which runs on iOS and thus works nicely on an iPad. I use this with a Brydge keyboard which turns the iPad into what looks like a little touchscreen MacBook.

I actually prefer the Final Draft App over the desktop version (which feels like it was released in the mid-90's) and have used it on set for rewrites.

Throw in iCloud and every syncs up between devices.

CJ Walley great-sounding set-up! Good to know!
