Sharing a short comedy animation

Language warning: the lead character is a bit of a potty-mouth. This animation served as my Blender learning project and incorporates elements created from Youtube tutorials. Visit https://youtube.com/philiplemon to see more of my shorts.

The self-awareness of this short is hilarious! I have to ask, did you script this out first? If you did, great work! I feel like the timing of it speaks to a more organic escalation, though, like you knew what you wanted to test/see and just found hilarious ways to include those elements. All said, I watched from beginning to end, which is saying something, 'cause I usually stop the moment there is enough not working. Looking forward to the next one!

Thanks Karen. I did script it. Originally the opening sequence was Blockman walking in blacknesd and the camera tracking but then I was inspired by 2001 A Space Odessy and redid it in the room with the portal and antique table. :)

Fun stuff!

Wow, then kudos on your writing skills as well! I remember learning - right here in the Animation Lounge, actually - that sometimes animators skip completing a script in favor of just storyboarding, which in turn can better show the "fun" of the escalating action. A note I have taken to heart - THANKS, STAGE 32 ANIMATION COMMUNITY!
