Principal photography concluded this past weekend for my short film noir drama "Counterfeit." The Iowa-based director now begins work on the editing and musical score. Assuming no more Covid-delays, "Counterfeit" should be out in early 2022. This is my second option and the first screenplay I've sold and had produced. It's a SAG production. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10751866/

Great! This is how "happy hour" post should look like folks...everyone and I mean everyone's been requested, liked, endorsed...etc...real endgame is the thing above...

Thanks Kiril... but it's taken years of reviewer and contest feedback, requests, likes and endorsements before I finally had a short optioned, sold and produced (= "real endgame"). Fundraising and Covid delayed things even more for the director/producer. As writers I think we need to celebrate any and all things that helps us stay in this game and let others know!

Thanks for your nice comments Christiane, Maurice, Kiril and Pat! While I tried to cut costs by writing a very low-budget short, contained screenplay, it was the director who asked me to add a scene that really elevated the story (though it increased the expense). That was a good lesson in the collaborative nature of this endeavor! Now it will be interesting to see how this film noir dramedy does in festivals, contests, etc. next year.
