Introduce Yourself : Screenwriter, playwright, Canadian-American. (I'm a dually, eh?) by Heath Houseman

Heath Houseman

Screenwriter, playwright, Canadian-American. (I'm a dually, eh?)

Super cool to connect here. Busy, busy, busy writing, rewriting, getting my work out there, you know the drill. Crazy cool to be working with the film crew on "Black Irish," a short play of mine that premiered at the Columbus Black Theatre Festival last summer. (Now being shot.) And "Killing Santa" seems to be heading in the right direction, so fingers crossed. Cheers to everyone out there!

Good to meet you, Heath Houseman, and welcome to the community! Err... welcome back? LOL! I do know the drill, and it's particularly intense in November between NaNoWriMo and Stage 32's Nov. Write Club Challenge: https://www.stage32.com/blog/Join-Us-for-the-7th-Annual-November-Write-Club

Congrats on your short play, that's awesome! What is "Killing Santa"? A feature film? Dude, you should reach out to Jason Mirch, our Director of Script Services: J.Mirch@stage32.com I think holiday films are in high demand right now!

You may already know the Screenwriting Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting), but I'd love for you to scroll through the Acting Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/acting) and share your thoughts on some of the conversations we've got going on right now. I know other members would love to learn from your experience!

Also, is that a picture of you in the SCA? It looks shockingly like Pennsic LOL! I'm writing a pilot for a series set at the Maryland Renaissance Festival in the 90's, so I know ;-)
