Hello, Roman Olkhovka, I've had one of my English plays translated into Russian, followed by a lovely experience in a theatre in Moscow near Red Square, some time ago. I feel Russian theatre and film talents lie rather undiscovered in the West in these sad times, and these talents would do something to rejuvenate the rest of the world. I have a play about one of those subjects we have all been advised to avoid in polite company - namely, religion. This play, cum film, needs only five actors and one set, and is a deeply textured dark comedy. Those who have read it feel it is hugely funny as , n THE TRIAL OF GOD, God is prosecuted for fraud and defended by another lawyer, in court, who uses religious faith as his main defence. The story goes astray and aside of that main idea. but all the spirited dialogue and character portrayal lends itself to the lovely absurdity (or is it?) of the questions about God and the belief some have in him.
