I am a filmmaker based in Connecticut. I am currently filming the bastard son in dedication to my brother who past way in June. We are all unwanted illegitimated kids of our fathers so I wrote a fictional screenplay using our true childhood as our base. It has a bit of controversial subjects and I know it is something he would appreciate because it will shine a light on things that once kids like us had to endure growing up. A Fatherless man from the wrong side of town. He is conceived by
a teenager who was a victim of rape. Unable to reap the benefits of a functional family nor education, he turns to a life of crime to help his family level the playing field of life. His life takes an even dark turn when his younger sister is attacked and left for dead in the gutter. He becomes blinded by rage as he tracks down her attackers and crumbles them to a bloody oblivion in the name of family vengeance.

Sounds like a powerful story. I think films based on true events really get to the core of the human existence and our collective existential crises. Good luck!
