Hi everybody,
My name's Nenani and I'm one half of an aspiring screenwriting duo. We don't have a name yet but when we do, you'll be the first to know (probably the fourth or fifth but let's not get bogged down by details).
We write modern takes on African and Zambian myth and folklore embedded into the lives of ordinary characters trying to traverse the daily struggles of very real societal issues and because sometimes you just want to see someone that you can relate to, literally, spit in the face of a grim reaper in African print threads and who doesn't want to see that right?
Our goal is to write stories that put African voices under the spotlight in the animated series genre. How about we have a world as vibrant and colourful as that of The Last Airbender with characters that look like Lupita Nyong'o or an animated series as wacky and heartwarming as adventure time with people that sound me... Idk, this may have turned into a mini-rant and I apologise for that.
But yeah, this is us. We're in your care.
Thank you, Art Thomas. Happy to be here.
