Hello, I'm looking for producers in Spain. I'm a director/producer whose first film "JOHAN" is currently doing its festival run. I'm looking to set the production of my second film in motion, but being Argentinian, I don't have many contacts here in Spain (outside of my film's crew). Anyone interested in talking? If anything, just to make the contact! I live in Barcelona.

Hi Santiago, nice work!
As a dutchman, 'Johan' jumps out for me: what's the film about?
Hi Frank! I'm glad that the film caught your eye.
JOHAN is a revival of german expressionissm. It's a classical horror/thriller character study with a psychological Frankenstein theme and some new takes on the genre.
The story is that of the titular Johan, a child-minded man who must fight a demon-infested town in order to save his father. It's a film about isolation, one's being and the sometimes confusing line between good and bad.

I see that you are a horror writer yourself! Where can I see your work?

Nice teaser, man.
I've published some short horror stories in The Netherlands and a suspense novel. (And I published a journalistic book about ghosthunters in The Netherlands. They are all in Dutch though.
Here are some of my current projects:

'Producers in Spain' - I find it interesting that the respondents are from the Netherlands and Texas.

Frank Van Der Meijden I went to your filmfreeway profile. Liked the photography of the presentation, can't quite comment on the content though being that its dutch as you said hahah
Doug Nelson Indeed, but it's interesting to meet some other realities nonetheless
Have you tried Cinando or IMDbPro? There is a new beta feature on IMDbPro that lets you search for specific departments - there is a membership fee for both sites. The Cinando database will help you search international companies and you may have better luck with finding Spain based producers! Good luck!
