Howdy, Stage 32-ers! I'm Kay Ross, the Community Manager here at Stage 32. If we've not yet had the pleasure, here is my intro blog that gives you the low and the down: https://www.stage32.com/blog/Find-Your-Community-on-Stage-32
I'm particularly grateful to RB, Amanda, Jason, Angela, Taylor, and the rest of my Stage 32 team this year as I've had the unique pleasure of both networking to continue "leveling up" in production - I got to be a Production Manager on an indie feature this year! - but also connected some kick-ass professionals I've worked with with Stage 32 who are now finding success through this platform (be sure to check out Phil Claroni and Liska Ostojic under script services!).
I'm also particularly proud of my 4-Part Blog Series on the lessons I learned as a Production Manager while working with Shane Stanley. The 4th part comes out TOMORROW, but here is the 3rd if you'd like to catch up: https://www.stage32.com/blog/Film-Production-Mentorship-Part-3-Creating-...
What have been some of your biggest victories this past year? Even if they don't look big, they can feel big. Like my other big victory was driving to Texas for my cousin's wedding and turning it into a 2-month sabbatical. WooT!
Screenwriter, Playwright, Singer, Actor (but not all at once!!! LOL)
Hi All, Merry Christmas and a Happy Celebration of what-ever other feast you wish to celebrate. My drama/family/holiday feature GRACE 'TIL CHRISTMAS? 3rd draft is now finished and after industry coverage is ready to pitch. Am taking an 'almost lockdown' holiday break, planning a new writing project for 2022. Am also waiting on news of my optioned feature I LOVE YOU, OSCAR WILDE and will send my KITTY, true-family-based feature (optioned 2016-20) to a New Zealand contact at Christmas. Hopefully she'll love it? I'd like to hear how others are doing and chat, when both of us are free. Cheers...
