Hi!
I'm currently researching/writing a second episode script of my Sci-fi/Satire "Lost In Time" and I'm thoroughly enjoying reading/researching Charlemagne and the 700's period. I've read 4-5 different books including the Einhard/Notker Two Lives of Charlemagne.
As I take notes and compare them I'm really starting to form these figures into characters, for example Alcuin of York was a very wise man who loved poetry and a few drinks, he also seems like the sort who would share a dirty limerick with Charlemagne.
What are some research experiences you enjoyed/hated/found useful?
