Hi, I'm looking into investing into coverage on Stage 32. Is this coverage that goes out into the industry or simply personal. Kinda nervous about it going out. I know my three screenplays are ready, I'm just nervous as I won't know the reader and their personal tastes, may not line up with mine. What if they hate crime thrillers with a mystery element?
Any advice on this whole coverage deal will be gratefully appreciated.
Thanks.
Gen

deep breath ...and jump! You got this! You are investing in yourself at the same time you invest in the coverage - and YOU ARE WORTH THE INVESTMENT!

Hey, Gen. I have the exact same fear too. However, I remind myself that whatever coverage feedback I get, good or bad, will help me become better. Onward and upward.

Legit concerns. It can be a crapshoot. I've paid for the $99 coverage twice. The first time, it was marvelous. The reader clearly connected to my characters and appreciated my humor. The second time was an unhelpful mess. (I'm sure it didn't help that the reader was 100% in the horror genre and my script is an emotional drama.) If you choose one of the more expensive coverage services, you can at least select the exec you think might be a good match for your writing style. Good luck!

It can feel daunting - but getting feedback and direction on your screenplays is what Stage32 specializes in.
First off, your work is not posted publicly. It goes as a pdf directly to the executive you choose. They download and read it and either write-out their notes and submit them privately back to you or schedule a one on one consultation with you (there's a variety of service choices).
There's also a wide variety of executives, each with their own area of expertise. Before you select one, you can read their bios on Stage32 to get a feel if they are right for you and, if you like, search the site for posts they have written, blogs they have contributed, etc., that will also help you decide who to submit to.
If you are still undecided, email j.mirch@stage32.com for help. He knows all of us and will direct you to the executive best suited to your needs.
For example, I am a Stage 32 Industry Professional with 30+ years in the business and am on the roster for consultations. To connect with me, send an email j.mirch@stage32.com and he will send you a link to use to connect with me.
Best of luck! You are on a roll!

Like Cherelynn said, jump in with both feet. Helene also lists some incredible suggestions too. For all you know this script could be your claim to fame, but on the flipside, it could also be a wakeup call to a re-write. Got my fingers crossed for you, Gen! Be sure to keep us posted.
