I have a short script- it just kinda found me, not at all what I was looking to write next, but it was simply too good. True story - a widow on the edge of taking her own life has to reconsider when she finds a letter.
Looking for grant ideas or funding leads.

I'm not sure if you'll find any grants, but you may be able to secure sponsorship. Maybe you could reach out to suicide prevention organizations with a short pitch including where it will be submitted to so they know the reach of their message?
In this case, I imagine your sponsor would want there to be an ending that gives some real-world statistics about suicide, and a call to action for suicide prevention that includes their information. They may only be able to afford finishing funds (so they can see your film before they invest), but it could be the money that pays for your composing, sound mix, color grade, and film festival submissions.

Check with the NEA (National Endowment for the Arts). Likewise veteran support foundations.
