Basic info

I'm new to all this so if this has been asked and answered in the past I apologize for asking again. So here it goes is there any good sites that allow you to view written scripts/ screenplays. so a person who is not in the business can see how they are broken down.. as stated I'm new to all this but have decided to give it a try and take one of my many written story ideas and see if I can fill in the blanks and create a cohesive screenplay hopefully making it start to flow better..any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are many. Google: screenplay, free, download.

You can also search for: screenplay, free, title of screenplay.

If you're writing spec scripts (which you are if you've never sold a script), be aware that now and then you'll come across a shooting script. Shooting scripts contain camera angles and shots. Spec writers should not do that.

You may also find that The Screenwriter's Bible is helpful, especially with formatting issues. I also like That's Not the Way It Works, by Bob Saenz. And the granddaddy of them all: Aristotle's Poetics. It's a short read and in it, you will find the framework of storytelling for an audience.

Hey, Jeff. I go to https://www.scriptslug.com/ This site usually has most scripts (TV and Features) for free. Onward and upward.

If I am looking for a specific script I’ll go to simply scripts.
