Hello my fellow creatives, it is both an honor and a joy to get to speak to you all this weekend. Before I introduce myself, I want to thank RB and the team behind Stage 32—our community is so much better because of everything you do.
I'm Luis Rubén, an equal parts screenwriter, and producer. With an extraordinary love of stories that uplift the human spirit and leave the viewer better because of it. I also, tend to dive into projects with magical realism motifs, in the vein of "The Shape of Water" and "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button".
As well as stories that highlight the ebbs and flows of minority groups, such as Latinx and LGBTQIA+. Please feel free to reach out, I'm always willing to listen to storytellers with a story that matters.
