Screenwriting : Blacklist, Inktip etc. Paid Sites? by Joe Giambrone

Joe Giambrone

Blacklist, Inktip etc. Paid Sites?

Which ones do you think might be the ones for a low-budget indie project to find a producer?

David Santo

I shop scripts via the Inktip preferred newsletter...

https://www.inktip.com/sa_preferred_newsletter.php

I also subscribe to a newsletter from Screenwriting Staffing via SYS...

This website is really good, too...

Inktip and NetworkISA

Maurice Vaughan

Yeah, David Santo. Definitely Screenwriting Staffing.

John Ellis

Right here, via networking.

Karen "Kay" Ross

Hey Joe, this is Karen from the Stage 32 team. I just wanted to let you know I moved your post from Authoring & Playwriting to Screenwriting (since you're asking about screenwriting sites), as it fits much better there. Let me know if you have any questions and all the best to you!

Karen "Kay" Ross

Agreed, John Ellis - have you listed your screenplay here? And on Script Revolution?

John Ellis

Yes, I have Kay! A couple on each!

CJ Walley

Script Revolution is technically free unless you want to upgrade to Rockstar Membership but here's the success stories which lean toward low budget indies.

Maurice Vaughan

The Rockstar perks on Script Revolution are great.

Jerry Robbins

Script Revolution and Inktip are where I have made sales.

Maurice Vaughan

Congrats, Jerry.

Dan MaxXx

Define, "low budget"?

All the films at this past Sundance festival are considered, "low budget"... but cast & crew & producers with track records aint cheap.

CJ Walley

We've had this conversation before and it's not complicated because the guilds themselves have tiers. Here's SAG's and WGA's for theatrical.

SAG

Basic Agreement >$2 MM

Low Budget $700k - $2 MM

Modified Low Budget $300k - $700k

Ultra Low <$250k

WGA

Standard tier > $1.2 MM

Low budget tier 3 $500k - $1.2 MM

Low budget tier 2 $200k - $500k

Low budget tier 1 <$200K

SAG say low budget is below $2 MM

WGA say low budget is below $1.2 MM

Maurice Vaughan

Thanks, CJ Walley.
