Introduce Yourself : Wayne Thompson by Wayne Thompson

Having working on and off in the industry for nearly 20 years now it has become frustratingly hard for me now due to health reasons. As well as acting, creating make up fx I also worked for the NHS back in the day where I sustained an injury that was going to make life extremely difficult. Working through the pain barrier on a daily basis I still do as much as I can if not acting or creating fx I write, produce and direct. Because of the majority feedback that I may as well quit due to my disabilities and lack of opportunities I decided to open a small studio in my hometown to try and create more work and help others like myself with both physical and mental health problems whether visible or not. Maybe not the best time to start the day before second lock down in the UK but hey We are still kicking for now. This despite going back to work delivering meds to those worse than myself. This last year we have still managed to win several awards for short films and scripts to which I am super proud of my team for their efforts. Hopefully if my abilities allow me here's to the next 20 years.
