Typesetting on computer has changed the way I write for quite long. Creative and writing prowess enable cooking the story with active imagination with few drafts and outlines on paper as memory helper.
I don't like repeating reviews on the fly; the spurs of the moment drives the plot. Modification is the last carrot to bite mouthful, which takes precious time to run the gauntlet, retaining and discarding, adding and spell-checking to the last period.
Passmark awaits editors' knives after a good subbing in order to finish what readers could look up captivated until the last page, or put aside in the middle of nowhere.
That's really interesting how you regulate yourself instead of edit your work. What a fun idea! I'd love to write something with few drafts, just to see how it compares.
Thank goodness for computers. I never save old drafts and just save the existing draft as I keep going. But computers allow us to see older versions. Still, I don't think I have ever looked at one, unless I royally screwed up an edit, the computer crashed, power went out...
