Hello, fellow creators. Hope you are all taking daily steps toward your goals, whatever they may be.
I've been working between assignments on adapting a comedy series spec into a podcast. But as I tie up a couple of projects, I'm shifting to make the podcast the priority (now that the assignments have given me a tiny cushion of financial discretion :-) ). The scripts are ready. I have a sound engineer/editor. It will be my first time directing and producing. And in two weeks, I'm taking a big swing and pitching a major "influencer" for the lead.
"Leap. Learn to fly on the way down."

Thanks, Stephen and Ilan!
I've been here a while. I'm just bad about posting.
Thanks again.
Hope the meeting goes well, Sheila D. Boyd.

Okay, update. Took the big swing. Didn't hit a home run, but made solid contact. I'm on base and one-for-one.
For you non-baseball fans: The pitch went well enough to get a treatment request from the talent's manager and a scheduled follow-up meeting with them both.

Yay! Go Sheila! Even batting .300 makes you great so one-for-one is outstanding. Congrats.
Congratulations, Sheila D. Boyd! A treatment request and a meeting are huge!

Thank you! I just reworked the treatment because it was written as part of a business plan back when I was hustling the series to investors - and because I write better treatments now. Letting it sit and percolate for a day or so before I do the final punch and proof, and send it off. Thanks for the encouragement!
