Hello everyone! I'm a writer and director just finishing my second year of my MFA in directing at Chapman University. I have a short film doing its festival run, have two films in post, and am currently developing my thesis. I'm also currently training to be a tour guide at Warner Bros Studio Tour Hollywood, where I'm getting acquainted with the lot and all that's filming there.

Good to meet you, Tivoli Silas, and welcome to the community! Oh, cool! What a great job while you're getting your degree! Actually, my parents are visiting in June and we were thinking about doing the WB Tour - maybe we'll see you there!
Have you had a chance to check out the Filmmaking Lounge here on Stage 32 yet? I'd love for you to jump in on some of the conversations there! https://www.stage32.com/lounge/directing
Is there a genre you are drawn to as a director?
Hi, Tivoli Silas. Great to meet you. Congrats on finishing your second year of your MFA in directing! Which of your short films is on a festival run?

Warners is where my favorite sitcom, "Bob <3 Abishola," is filmed. I'm a comedy guy who's written two rom-com feature scripts and is close to completing a third. Let's collaborate!

Here is the trailer to the short film that has played in two festivals so far: https://vimeo.com/587345906.
If you do the WB Tour, here are my recommendations - on weekdays is when the lot is busy and you can see more action, but on weekends, there's less work and more opportunities to see more sets. I'd personally recommend going late morning because they had lunch options at the second stop of the tour that are pretty reasonable for a tourist place.
As for genre, I tend to prefer drama, fantasy and sci-fi.
I liked the trailer for "Ziggy Starfish," Tivoli Silas. The cliffhanger at the end was great. I wanted to see more. :)
