Hi everybody - So I've been wanting to make a feature for a long time. I've written four screenplays, each time HOPING to write something I could shoot on a Micro enough budget that I could pay for it myself (since I haven't yet cracked the code of how to get other people to put up the funds!) I think my new script is something I can potentially make happen with my own money and am aiming for a September 2022 shoot.
I haven't been as active on this platform as I probably should be. I'll try to post more; this "Introduce Yourself Weekend" is a good prompt. Hope you're all having an excellent Saturday!

Hey Andrew! In the famous words of Nike... just do it. :) In all seriousness, I produced a passion project last year, in the middle of Covid, and couldn't be happier with the results. Start moving more pieces into place and see where that momentum takes you. For me, it was getting a producer friend to do a budget breakdown and creating a shooting schedule. Then it was hitting up contacts for locations. Then it was getting crew, and then putting the casting in place. Each step pushed me straight into the next, and the momentum it created resulted in something I'm now very proud of. Best of luck to you!

Andrew Michael Tarr Hello! Welcome to Stage 32! RB has a great book on crowd sourcing you can get on Amazon/Audible. It's chock full of practical how to's to get your feature funded. Check it out!
