My screenwriting path started 4 years ago with a online course on Michigan State University-how to write a TV pilot- It consisted on creating and writing a tv pilot project.I learned that the best way to get an education in this field is to (you guessed it) just write, write, write. In a screenwriting forum someone said to me that 'you can only call yourself a screenwriter once you´ve completed 5 projects' and so I did. In total I wrote two drama features and 3 sci-fi pilots. Now I´m a screewriter and I´m ready to start working IF the right conditions arise ELSE I´ll turn to other interests like programming but, there´s no doubt about it, my current passion is screenwriting.

Great to meet you, Joao Paulo M Freitas. "I learned that the best way to get an education in this field is to (you guessed it) just write, write, write." I agree. That, reading scripts, taking advice from experienced screenwriters, and attending webinars taught by pros. You should check out the Screenwriting lounge (www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting). That lounge, some of the blogs (www.stage32.com/blog), and the Writers' Room (www.stage32.com/writersroom) will definitely help you with screenwriting.
