Hello everyone!!

I’m a newbie, and honestly I’m lost on which direction to go on getting any kind of deal. I wrote a book called Raéyah and I’ve started an IG page to start a following for my book, but my main goal is for it to go to film. I thought about paying to have short films made, maybe getting with a visual effects artist then I can get a following, because I see that having a following could get me more clout if I know I can bring viewers. Maybe catch a producers eye but other than that how do I get the attention of HBO, Netflix, Amazon etc.?

A.S. welcome! What are you doing to get people to find out more about your project?

Welcome to the community, A.S. Prioleau. Making a social media page for your book is a way to make the book stand out. I think making a short film of your book could help when you pitch because producers and companies will be able to SEE the story (visuals are great pitching tools). You can pitch to execs, producers, directors, etc. with the Stage 32 Pitch Sessions (https://www.stage32.com/scriptservices/pitch-sessions).

So far I only have my book cover on the IG page. I’ve now came to this platform hoping to gain some traction. From there I really don’t know which way to go. I wish I can find more events to attend to be around like minded people and network that way. I’m going to join some pitch sessions and go from there.

You can post your book cover, logline, and synopsis in the logline section of your Stage 32 page, A.S. Prioleau. That could draw attention to your book and help get it turned into a film.

Thank you so much Maurice!! I will!!
