Hey Fellow Scribes!
This episode is a special one for us... During COVID lockdown we all remember that production just stopped! Well, I wanted to still create narrative content and podcasting seemed like a great outlet for this... So I did a test episode where I hired voice-over talent via Voice123 and had remote recording sessions. It took about 3 weeks from start to finish and that final product is what this episode is. It's still pretty raw, but it was the base idea for what is now First Read Radio.
Hope you guys enjoy it.

Excellent! At the risk of being a grammar nazi, there is a typo in the title.

Gary A. Jones Cool! And thanks for taking it in the spirit offered. Don't want you to look bad, when the project is so good.

We’re all here to help each other! I appreciate you calling it out. When there is what seems to be a bajillion things to do when launching a podcast, these things get over looked. So, it’s always welcome in my neighborhood!

Love this pivot, Gary A. Jones! Way to be entrepreneurial on this. In fact, my guest in the Writers' Room last night - Alison Mann from Fourth Wall Management - was asked what is the best way to build up IP for a project and she said, "podcasts" without hesitating. People are out there listening!

Jason Mirch Yea, I love podcasts, and have toyed with the idea of doing one, including for the purpose you mention.

There are many opportunities with podcasts being commissioned not only here in the US but also in the UK. Here's an on demand webinar with lots of good info on pivoting your material for a podcast.

NICE!!! Here is one using voice actors, musical score, and SFX.... looks like a trend that may grow for screenwriters? www.scriptcast.me

Randall, totally! I haven't seen too many of us doing this. Not at the quality standard we have. We're in the process of looking for scripts for season 2 of our show. There are 2 more episodes this season and looking to do about 10 next season.
Kick ass Gary!!!
