Would like some advice on written pitches that are submitted via Stage 32's Pitch Sessions. Do you include a short bio of yourself in the 1-2 pager? Or should I just stick to the details about the show I'm pitching?
Two pages aren't much, but if you have room they like to know why YOU are the one to write this series or feature. Also writerhelp@stage32.com can send you a sample 2-page written pitch to go by. It helped me a lot.
Yes, especially if you have previous writing credits or a degree in screenwriting. Also, if your life in any way relates to the story, it would be good to include that. But keep it short.
Kaya, I finally turned in a written pitch to Stage 32 last week...and in it, I didn't put in a bio, but I mentioned how the script I pitched ("Fine Tooth Comb") came about. Took me four lines to tell why I wrote the screenplay.
Hope YOUR pitches are successful, Kaya! Glad you're here on 32...and all the VERY BEST to you!
