Greetings, it’s been awhile since I’ve been here. I’m working on an animated comedy series and would love to be a part of a writer’s group for feedback, brainstorming etc. I looked at The Writer’s Room and seems promising but because I’m working on an animated comedy script I’m wondering if it would be a good fit for me?
Any feedback would be appreciated

Hey Sy Shanti! Great to have you in the community my friend. You will love being a part of the Writers' Room. In fact, one of our most active members in the Writers' Room began her career working at Disney Animation and has a wealth of knowledge. We JUST had a guest in the Writers' Room named Alison Mann who is a Literary Manager and the Co-President of Animation at Fourth Wall Management. You can see the webcast with her on demand immediately after you join.
And many other writers who are members of the Writers' Room are also working on animated projects at the moment. There are a lot of ways for you to connect and collaborate with them regularly.
I am the host of the Writers' Room and you are always welcome to reach out to me directly at j.mirch@stage32.com - I would love to have you come join the community and experience it for yourself. I think you will really enjoy being a part of the group!

I have to agree with Jason. I was a member of the writer's room for about 4 months and absolutely enjoyed every single week. You will learn so much. I have an animated feature and there were a few others that did as well. Always remember, you are your best investment.

Sy: Here's my take. Good move signing up. I have several resources in my screenwriting toolbox and The Writer's Room is a recent addition. I've been busy with work I'm committed to finishing and haven't used some of the resources as much as I would like but the quality of the live logline seminar I attended was well-organized and first-rate. Additionally, the free industry job postings are all high quality. The Writer's Room features free pitch practice sessions and a litany of other topics they will flag you 15 minutes before they start. Finally, there are downloadable examples of things to help improve your work. So far, worth the admission.

For anyone who's on the fence about joining the Writers' Room: You can submit to Open Writing Assignments (companies looking for scripts and hiring writers for projects), attend live events with executives/agents/producers/etc., join Pitch Tanks to get better at pitching, learn from the Writers' Room members/build relationships with them, watch free webcasts in the Vault, get discounts on Stage 32 services, and more.
