I had a manager, David China Woolf. If I remember correctly, he signed me as a client because he saw the projects I was working on and he read my scripts (just shows how important it is to be active on projects and have a portfolio of work). He worked hard for me, but I looked for jobs/projects and pitched scripts at the same time. He also taught me things about screenwriting and the film industry.
