Introduce Yourself : Disaster relief disaster by Jean M. Knowlton

Disaster relief disaster

I just went through a horrendous year, that started out feeling hopeful because I had qualified for an SBA disaster relief loan in an unexpected amount. But it turned out to feel like a Carrie-at-the--prom level prank as delays and kerfuffles ended up preventing it from actually being deposited. So it gave me an idea to write a screenplay about the experience of applying, receiving, expecting, waiting endlessly, and in the end getting an email saying they were out of funding after my application had been derailed or waylaid. I can't get any answers, so it's left it all to my imagination, and I see it as people Trump planted in the SBA only processing loans where they got kickbacks, and if they know someone is a Democrat, they stall and obstruct it. After my application was initially denied because my income showed a $17 increase, I asked that only Democrats process it because the $17 more was Social Security cost of living increase, not business income. My character could be based on what I do, which is work on rescuing animals, mostly cats, through TNR and housing them, and in my current predicament of having counted on receiving $25,000 and now facing possible eviction for back rent, thinking it would be paid ahead when the money came, but then it just didn't.

Sorry you had to go through that, Jean M. Knowlton. Writing a screenplay about it sounds like a great idea.
