Introduce Yourself : Discover Your Inner "She-ro"! by Anthony Hand

Hi, all!

I'm a first-time filmmaker producing an independent animated feature film called, "Maxxie LaWow: Drag Super-shero." Check out the fun 2 min sizzle reel at:

We're chugging along merrily at Month 9 of 26 months and the production is on schedule. The storyboards are coming along brilliantly and wrapping up. We're working on the demo for our 4th original song and should be in the studio later this month or early August. And we're about ready to kick off principal animation in August.

We're aiming for a (theatrical) launch in Q2/3 of 2024! We're anticipating a PG-13 rating with broad appeal to LGBTQ+ and drag fans, including women and other Allies, plus families with LGBTQ+ kids.

REQUESTS

For Q3 2022, I have a few tasks on my plate. If I could ping this community for tips, it would be much appreciated.

- Product Placement: Can you recommend a product placement agent? We have a few modest opportunities for product placement and sponsorships in the film: alcohol beverage, make up, automobiles, etc.

- TV Audience Sizes: OMG, it's wicked hard getting viewership info in this new streaming world. Any reliable tips? I'm especially researching viewership for RuPaul's Drag Race franchises around the world, and while Parrot Analytics has some interesting popularity types of info, hard numbers about eyeballs are tough.

- Funding: Always gotta hustle! Referrals for LGBTQ+ narrative film grants (I'm cis white gay/queer male), co-production, etc. are always welcome.

- Marketing: Would you be up for sharing Marketing plans? I'm drafting a Marketing Plan for 2023 and would love to do some real benchmarking.

- Virtual Hugs: Bcuz it's tough keeping the train moving!
