Yep they're out there in LA. Paths will cross, and be sure to ask friends and folks you meet as they will bump into others regularly. Dan MaxXx there's lot of new names at Lionsgate feature development ... big turnover, changing of the guard.

Geez, anywhere I could; bars, forums, festivals...hit my only (so far) jackpot when a friend of mine had a friend who was looking for a breakthrough script and I happened to have one at hand...guy is now on a break of his first major feature, six figures budget...

But ain't stoppin'...later this month I hope to be at a new filmmakers gathering nearby my town...mingle and maybe meet new directors hunting on good stories...very little happens online, gotta get yourself out there, pandemic, war or whatever in the meantime...

Singles Sierra Club in Los Feliz (Griffin Park) or SM mtns. (Or normal sierra club - hiking is big in LA and you will meet people).

Drew, you're in the LA Basin where everybody wants to be in the film industry and a few even are - just get out & mingle. I know several who are now retired and teach at local Community Collages and Film schools - attend some seminars and courses just to get to know 'em; come across as kind, courteous, friendly and ambitious. Hey Jennifer Goldson is in your neighborhood - there's a connection right there. Offer to meet her.
