On Writing : Estevan by David Koranda

I am the author of Estevan, which takes place from 1435-1547. This includes 5 storylines of Spanish conquerors to the New World including Columbus, Balboa, Cortez, Pizarro (Socio-Path), and DeSota. It also includes one additional storyline of the fictional generations of Estevan starting wit Hernando who links all the storylines together. Why do the Native tribes hate Columbus so badly. It is not his name, you could call him Joe Camel or anything else, but why he is most hated is his starting the European move which worse then slavery, torture and murder led to the greatest destruction of the tribes by a greater destruction by Pandemics then we have recently faced. The tribes had no immunity to all the illnessses, diseases the Europeans carried. Some tribes nearly totally wiped out by these first American Pandemics.
