Quick information about me.
I´m from Denmark, living in Copenhagen, I became a self-taught screenwriter back at the end of 2020, I have been a member since February 2021, and I can tell you all it was the best decision I could ever make! I applied for a spot at our film school in Denmark, but I now know that you learn more on stage32 than at this school!
Before I came to stage32 I only knew how to write a screenplay in a screenwriting program, I have "met" some beautiful creatives on stage32, and I can’t imagine my career without stage32 as a supportive community place! - in just 1 1/2 years I am now working as a Moderator for the Screenwriting Lounge, I´m an ambassador and a community leader here as well, and I must say I can not wait to see your alls post this weekend!
Soon a blog I have written will be published on our blogs about how to navigate around stage32 because let's be honest, it can be difficult to find everything when you are new to a platform/site. I too am a self-taught Screenwriter, who's been duped into paying for redundant Screenplay Classes and extraneous Contest Entries as well. I joined Stage32 to connect with other Hollywood hopefuls and network with local members of the film scene. It's no secret that those with the spirit of community belong in this industry, no matter how much they're accused of Socialism.

B A Mason- I can truly appreciate your journey to learn screenwriting. I have been writing, ghost writing, consulting and teaching screenwriting at the university level for 40 years. I don't know how to do it without charging but I have a tough time with most supposed "screenwriting gurus", even some who have written books, that are charging and taking advantage of people like you.
