On Writing : Estevan-Face of the Lizard by David Koranda

Estevan-Face of the Lizard

This is my 2nd Estevan book that takes place from 1547-1620, mainly within St. Augustine, Florida. It begins with an attractive young Huguenot in France, where it was dangerous to be exposed as a Huguenot. Generally you would end up a late night torch, so there were plans to transport her to the new world and into safety. Francisco Estevan not yet a Catholic Priest was struggling with whether he should go thru with it, as his parents wanted. I could be describing my grandfather Albert Koranda, Alter boy for 22 years and Priest for 3. Francisco path crosses Hortense the Huguenot who were by faith alone mortal enemies. Hortense recognized by most as a soulless heathen was being stalked by an evil master manipulator John Gyrot standing between the French and Spanish in Florida not minding playing each against one another as he continued his demands for Hortense and destruction of the young Francisco who stood in his way. There was later in the story Pocahontas who was betrayed by a young Englishman, who tricked her into marriage after she believed by him Capt. Smith was dead. The English Pirate Sir Francis Drake stole the 2 Estevan boys, and his name was often used to frighten small Spanish children into behaving or he would grab them while they slept. as a devouring dragon. This book is open for any Hollywood consideration, as is my first Estevan book.

Like the cover, and a great synopsis.

Hi David - thanks for sharing your book and plans for expanding the world of characters. Are you looking for resources to help connect you to decision makers? Or feedback on your synopsis?

David Koranda

I would say Yes to both questions. I am new to Stage 32. My cousin just brought it to my attention a month ago. I'm looking to try several things shortly.
