I'm always flabbergasted when I am notified that I have been recognized for my screenplay, ONCE A HOMECOMING QUEEN.Last week, Storyline sponsored by Final Draft surprised me with a finalist award and asked me to go to Hollywood--my old home town--to gather with other winners. As luck would not have it, I had planned a trip to San Miguel de Allende that week and there is no way I can get back. Or leave my stepdaughter in the lurch. Yet, it was good to receive another recognition. It was my 8th. And I found out the my novel of the same name will be out in February. Waiting for my galleys.
