Hello, everyone. My name is Cornelius and I really enjoy being here. Everyday presents an opportunity to meet someone that can either give you guidance or help you to become better at what you do. There is just so much support in this community and it's simply amazing. I love the feedback from the ind. pros because it has helped me tremendously in my writing career. I'm currently looking for a agent or manager in Florida so if anyone knows "anyone" let me know. You can also view my writings with this link... Stage32.com/profile/986406

"Everyday presents an opportunity to meet someone that can either give you guidance or help you to become better at what you do." Great saying, Ca Melo.
There's a new blog about managers and agents: "Managers vs. Agents: Top Industry Reps Explain the Difference" https://www.stage32.com/blog/managers-vs-agents-top-industry-reps-explai...
And I'm not sure if I've shared these with you or not:
https://www.scriptreaderpro.com/screenwriting-managers/
IMDb Pro has managers and agents you can look up. https://pro.imdb.com/signup/index.html?u=https%3A%2F%2Fpro.imdb.com%2F%3... IMDb Pro has a 30-day free trial. It costs $19.99 a month after that.

Hi Cornelius, nice to meet you! I love the industry feedback too! What's your favorite genre to write?

Hi, Mrs. Emily; It's a pleasure to meet you too. My favorite genre is comedy. I laugh while writing things that make people laugh.

Thank You Maurice; I did read the "Managers vs. Agents:" already. And I have been on IMDb Pro several times. I don't want to solicit anyone who doesn't want to be contacted. Additionally, I'm not sure what the agent or manager wants as far as the type of material.

So happy that you are constantly finding value on this platform Ca Melo
You're welcome, Ca Melo. I don't think there's any harm in reaching out to managers, agents, producers, etc. and just letting them know, "I have this great script about..." I wrote this on Twitter the other day: There's a saying: "Can't win it if you ain't in it." For writers, that saying is, "Can't win it if you don't send it."
"Additionally, I'm not sure what the agent or manager wants as far as the type of material." I don't think you're going to know until you reach out. But I do know that agents and managers want to see a portfolio of great, marketable scripts (rather than just one great, marketable script). Having treatments and pitch decks for your feature scripts would help, or show bibles and pitch decks for your shows.

I love that saying Maurice. I'm googling some managers now. I also might do a pitch session.

Great, Ca Melo! I had a few Pitch Sessions. They REALLY helped my pitches.

Were you nervous? Did you skype or do a hand written pitch?

I did written pitches all three times, Ca Melo. I'm planning on doing verbal pitches.
Are you a member of the Writers' Room (https://www.stage32.com/writers-room)? There are Pitch Practices every Thursday where you can sit in and listen to people pitch (to get tips on pitching verbally). You can sign up to pitch (at the start of a Pitch Practice).

Thank you so much for the advice Maurice. I've never done a written pitch before so I went to the community for help. They emailed me a sample pitch of the movie Star Wars. I'm not a member of the Writer's Room but I would like to listen to Pitch Practices.
